The Hot Club of San Francisco play in the style and spirit of Django Reinhardt for over 40 years Paul Mehling has been nicknamed the "Godfather of Gypsy jazz in America& (PBS "Spark" program) with 11 CDs recorded, numerous concert appearances all over the world (including being the first American Gypsy jazz band to play at the Festival Django Reinhardt in France 2000) and 4 instructional DVDs for guitarists interested in learning this unique and colorful style. Featuring the captivating singing of Isabelle Fontaine (from Poitiers, France) and her swinging rhythm guitar, multi-instrumentalist jazz legend Clint Baker on trumpet, trombone, clarinet (and who knows what else?) and finally their young bass prodigy Sam Rocha on string bass. One of the most popular bands of DjangoFest San Francisco returns for a concert that promises to delight and dazzle.
