The San Francisco based Avatar Ensemble, led by guitarist Doug Martin, will be performing a mixture of selections from the gypsy jazz repertoire, jazz standards, as well as original compositions.
The group’s original compositions draw inspiration from Doug's many travels performing with his own projects in the US and China and also performing in Europe and Australia as a member of Lulo Reinhard’s Latin Swing Quartet. Doug currently performs on the road with the John Jorgenson Quintet when not playing locally with the Avatar Ensemble.
