Hot Gypsy Jazz comes back to the South Coast when DjangoFest Laguna arrives at the Laguna Beach Festival of Art’s Forum Theatre for two shows on May 3rd, 2008.

DjangoFest Laguna 2007, a festival celebrating the music and spirit of Django Reinhardt, is back in Laguna Beach, providing an opportunity for Gypsy Jazz fans, players and enthusiasts from around the world to congregate in the beautiful ocean side village of Laguna Beach, Ca., only 60 minutes from Los Angeles and 20 minutes from the John Wayne Airport, for a day of concerts, attend some workshops, djam and network with top international performers and aficionados of this distinctive and vibrant genre of acoustic guitar driven music. Gypsy Jazz, which began as the European answer to American Swing, was created by Django but didn’t end with his passing. The music has continued to grow incorporating influences from around the globe, making it one of the freshest and most vibrant music genres on the scene today.
